Formulated specifically for oily or blemish-prone skin, this daily mineral sunscreen is powered by patented EnviroScreen® Technology - which means comprehensive defense against UVA/UVB, Blue Light, Pollution, and Infrared radiation, combined with advanced antioxidants and nourishing, hydrating ingredients for long-term skin health.

How to use
Apply liberally and evenly to face. Spot apply to areas requiring additional oil control, such as the T-zone. For on-the-go protection and continued oil absorption, pair with Total Protection™ Sheer Matte SPF 30 Brush-on Sunscreen, reapplying at least every two hours.

    How often should I apply?

    Apply Sunforgettable®Total Protection™Face Shield SPF 15 minutes before exposure to environmental aggressors. Like all SPF products, reapply every 2 hours. For convenient all-day reapplication on-the-go or directly over makeup, use the Total Protection™Brush-on Shield SPF 50.

    How long will the product last?

    If applied once daily as recommended, Sunforgettable®Total Protection™ Face Shield SPF will last approximately 90 days.

    Do I need to moisturize before? / Does this replace my moisturizer?

    Although Sunforgettable®Total Protection™Face Shield SPF was formulated with ingredients that help to hydrate and nourish, it is best applied to moisturized skin, particularly for those who have dry or fragile skin.

    Is this product safe for sensitive skin?

    Total Protection™ Face Shield SPF is 100% mineral environmental protection that is free of chemical active ingredients, oil free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic and suitable for all skin types.  If you have known allergies or specific ingredient sensitivities, we always recommend consulting your skin health professional before introducing a new product.

    Is there a color/tint to it?

    Sunforgettable®Total Protection™ Face Shield Classic SPF 50 is lightly tinted due to the coloring of iron oxides. However, when it is applied on the skin, the formula allows it to blend in sheer unlike other mineral sunscreen care products.

    Yes, Sunforgettable®Total Protection™Face Shield SPF is water/sweat resistant for up to 40 minutes.

    What is Enviroscreen®  Technology?

    EnviroScreen® Technology is proprietary to Colorescience®. EnviroScreen® Technology uses patented active ingredients, Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide, that create a barrier preventing free radical formation and oxidative stress. These patented actives are combined with specialty ingredients that, together, work synergistically to protect skin from damage caused by exposure to UVA/UVB rays, pollution, blue light (also known as High Energy Visible, or HEV, light), and infrared radiation.

    Can I use Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ products on babies?

    Sunforgettable®Total Protection™Face Shield SPF 50 is safe to apply to 6 months and older. As with all sunscreen products, consult your physician for use on children under 6 months of age.
    All Total Protection™products use only non-chemical zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide as sunscreen active ingredients.  The FDA recognizes only these two sunscreen active ingredients as safe and effective.

    Are Sunforgettable® Total Protection™ products chemical free?

    Yes, Colorescience uses only mineral (also known as physical) sunscreen active ingredients, zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide in all of our sunscreen products.  These are the only 2 sunscreen actives the FDA recognizes as safe and effective.  Colorescience has never and will never use any chemical sunscreen actives.

    Too dark

    Too dark for my skin tone if I apply the proper amount for sun protection. The color is too yellow orange on me. Looks is ok as long as I apply a light layer and blend well. I have oily skin. It's not as matte as I'd like but it doesn't look too greasy either.

    Sun forgettable Matte

    Not for me. Really really wanted to love it but it was so hard for me to blend into my skin tone without it looking dull and leaving a white cast. Maybe it was from the Matte finish but my skin is usually oily. I dont wear makeup and I didnt like that it had a tint which was getting on my white lab coat. So Im going to try the no show sunscreen

    I have acne prone skin, I told my dermatologist I started using this product and she said she loves color science! This sunscreen has thicker consistency than what Im used to, but its not an issue for me. The color matches my skin tone immediately, I have tan skin tone. My face texture looks a lot smoother and sometimes I just use the sunscreen and the color science blush when I dont want to wear makeup
